Title:                           Administrative Assistant (School Level)

 

Qualifications:           1. High school diploma.

                                   2. Demonstrates proficiency in typing, computer keyboarding, and receptionist skills.

                                   3. Has working knowledge of basic office procedures, the operation of office equipment.

 

Reports To:               Principal

 

Job Goal:                   To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that                                                                      the office’s maximum positive impact on the education of children be                                                                          realized.

           

Performance Responsibilities:

 

  1. Performs usual office routines.

 

  1. Maintains such student records as shall be required.

 

  1. Receives and routes incoming calls.

 

  1. Maintains a daily teacher attendance log and the concomitant records for substitute teachers.

 

  1. Maintains the SAM and MSIS programs.

 

  1. Assists teachers in preparing instructional materials as requested.

 

  1. Processes all changes adjustments in student schedules after second week of the school year.

 

  1. Maintains a log of visitors to the school.

 

  1. Operates word processors, computers, calculators, copiers, and facsimile machines.

 

  1. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign.

 

  1. Dispenses and keeps documentation of medication to students when nurse is unavailible.

 

Terms of                    233 days a year. (CLM-   197 days a year.) Salary to be determined by the Board.

Evaluation:                Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s                                                            policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
